Cyprus Society of Nuclear Medicine
The Cyprus Society of Nuclear Medicine (CySNM) is honoured to propose Dr. Savvas Frangos for the position of President-Elect of the World Federation of Nuclear Medicine and Biology (WFNMB).
Dr. Savvas Frangos is one of the founding members of our society and was the first President. He now holds the position of past president.
He has an enormous experience serving on various national and international councils and organisations. He was member of the Council of the Limassol Medical Association, and chair of its scientific committee, member of the Council of the Cyprus Medical Association, member of the Council, and for a period president of the Doctors Pension Fund of Cyprus, He is well known within the nuclear medicine community Having served as a member of the Governing Body of WARMTH, He has also been secretary of the EANM, Secretary/Treasurer of UEMS/EBNM and Treasurer of WFNMB. Most importantly he has been an untiring advocate for nuclear medicine within his local medical community and also internationally hosting many successful conferences here in Cyprus to advance the place of nuclear medicine within clinical practice
We believe that with all that experience he will be an excellent President-Elect and go on to become an outstanding President of the World Federation of Nuclear Medicine and Biology (WFNMB).
He is very active scientifically and is an internationally recognised expert in the management of Thyroid Cancer which, is his main field of interest.
The President and the Council of the Cyprus Society fully support his candidacy and we truly believe that his election will be a benefit for the Federation.
